How to use Customer Feedback Creatively
The one key thing which I always say to my clients that it is never possible to have too much feedback from customers, and so I wanted to share this great example of how to combine feedback with raising awareness in a simple but very effective manner.
Here in our neighbourhood in São Paulo it was sad to our local coffee and cake shop close a few months ago. However, renovations have recently begun, and so I was really happy to see their new window sign and learn about what they were planning for this space.
If you look at the photo, the main headline reads “We are still rennovating but we already would like to meet your request”. And on the left the question reads “Which food/drink would you like to find here?” The sheet has been divided into breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a box of pens to the left, and as you can see people have written a wide variety of foods that they would love to see being offered.
Despite the challenges of this current crisis, there have been new cafes and restaurants have opening, as well as a small organic grocery store next to our apartment and also a little food emporium which is about to start selling pasta dishes to heat at home.
I love this simple concept to collect feedback, as it shows just how focused the owners of this new venture are on the customer. This great sheet of paper also serves to publicise the store/restaurant months before it will open, raising awareness to help the owners develop a client base as well as a way to develop a connection with them.
